Weaning LO that's only ever been fed to sleep

Hey! Sorry if this has already been covered but I'm riddled with anxiety about weaning my 18 month old

She's only ever been fed to sleep and throughout the night when she wakes (we bedshare)

For medical reasons we need to wean. I've conquered the day feeds but I just dont even know where to start with the night. She won't let me rock her (although that's what nursery does) and usually naps in the buggy. I've tried previously but she just screams and pulls at my top and won't take a dummy.

I know this sounds ridiculous but I dont even know how to get her to sleep without bf or the buggy 🙈

Any suggestions from anyone that has found themselves in a similar position? 🙏🏼

Do you have a partner that can do it? It's much easier when the expectation of breastfeeding isn't there.

Yes that was going to be my suggestion too, that's how I did it (just the bedtime feed by then).

If you can, take yourself off to a different room for a week, it might be tough at first for all three of you, but you'll get there. Flowers

That's be my suggestion too. Stops her thinking you're holding back on her.

But if you're not there there's no expectation of milk....

Mine just screamed the house down for hours until I turned up. Her and Dad went to Grandparents and she did the same there. Depends on the age, I did bedtime in a high neck top so they nor I could give in. For middle of the night feeds, I offered a biscuit substitute, and then moved from biscuit to boring cracker by which point they were over it. That's with an 18 mth old rather than yoing baby.
