Any advice? MY DS just begun crawling and a month beforehand and continuing he crawls around cot gets stuck in corner and cries until put back into sleeping position ....and then it happens all over again!
He is in a grobag and I am giving him lots of crawling opportunities. After 10 months of 2hourly waking up I am knackered and cant think what to do

My son does exactly the same thing. In desperation, we are currently strapping him into his pushchair every night (it goes flat). Once he's thoroughly asleep we move him to the cot and he doesn't wake up.

It's by no means an ideal solution and I will be watching this thread to see if anyone has a better idea!

iirc someone posted about similar recently and suggested tucking grobag into bottom of cot

Ds is 8 months (has been able to roll for a while now) and has just mastered rolling over in his cot. As soon as he does this he just cries and cries, and becomes inconsolable. If he would only stay on his back he'd be off to sleep in no time like the old days!

I have tried tucking the grobag into the bottom of the cot but he's very strong and soon breaks free! So we have resorted to rocking him off to sleep in the buggy first as well, Hoonette I feel your pain!

So no great ideas but bumping anyway. Hopefully someone will be along soon with some nugget or other.

Just to say my son is 9 months old, and has done the old crawling round the cot, getting stuck, standing up and not being able to get back down.

I found that going in, turning him over, lying him down, not saying anything worked. It did take a week or two, but they do learn how to free themselves eventually.

I tried to stop him rolling etc, but nothing ever worked!

thanks everyone for the advice - We bought the longest grobag ever - think I could fit in it! tucked it in it does seem to have cut back the number of instances of waking up. Also giving him loads of crawling time before tea seems to working a bit.

I keep thinking one day soon I will be at the bottom of the stairs bag in hand screaming for him to wake up!
