Not enough, serious nasty night aches with Parkinson’s ( meds need adjusting), so not as much I hope.
Achy during the day tool, luckily I don’t work

mrsrobin · 28/04/2024 23:17

5hrs if lucky :(

mondaytosunday · 28/04/2024 23:27

Overnight about 5 1/2 to 6, but I often have an hour and a half nap in the afternoon. I have a real slump about 3pm and I can power through it but I love to nap! My kids are 18 and over and I wfh so that's not an issue. I just like to stay up late.

NailsHairNipsHeels · 28/04/2024 23:31

I get between 3 & 5 hours a night. I work shift so that screws up my sleep schedule

PinkSunsetSky · 28/04/2024 23:33

Less than 4 hours a night .
Extremely well rested , read books before bed , go to bed calm , cosy but then wake up around 3/4 hours later and can’t get back to sleep .

overwork · 28/04/2024 23:46

Blimey. I currently have a 9 month old do my sleep is all over the place but prior to him I enjoyed a good 8-9 hours per night. I'm not sure I'd do well on 5

shivermetimbers77 · 28/04/2024 23:48

About 7 hours usually.

DuckPancake · 29/04/2024 00:07

7-10 hours. I have a 7 year old DS so I just go to bed and get up when he does usually!

GoodnightAdeline · 29/04/2024 00:10

Not enough. About 6 hours usually broken once. Either DC wake me or I wake up anyway.

GreatTheCat · 29/04/2024 01:09

Not to night (just back from a holiday) but I'm usually asleep by 10pm and wake between 6 - 7am.

TotalDramarama24 · 29/04/2024 01:19

Getting between 3 and 5 hours the last couple of weeks. Work is really busy and it's year end. Normally it's 6. I would prefer more and am always tired.

cheeseandketchupsandwich · 29/04/2024 02:24

Not enough.

What time do you go to bed?

I tend to find I sleep better and longer if I go to bed earlier.

(This was before I had my second DC)

00deed1988 · 29/04/2024 03:26

If I am on day shifts/days off - 5 or 6 hours. If I am on a night shift I sleep 8 or 9 hours during the day. People think I am crazy to prefer nights but I actually feel less tired. I sleep really well during the day!

LadyDaisy42 · 29/04/2024 03:32

About 5 or 6 hours and it's broken sleep, DS2 has special needs and often gets up during the night for a few hours at a time so I rarely sleep more than 3 or 4 hours before getting woken up. Takes literally ages to get back over again, by which time it's just a doze before having to get up to get kids ready for school and go to work. I'm absolutely physically and mentally exhausted.

Noicant · 29/04/2024 06:04

5-6, but thats because it’s me time after DD goes to bed but I really do need more sleep, am permanently knackered. Am going to force myself to put my book down by 10:30 tonight.

Jeannne92 · 29/04/2024 06:06

Not enough. I've been mentally exhausted most of the past week. I go to bed early but can't fall asleep and wake up fully by 4am at the latest. Menopause, stress.

Bootskates · 29/04/2024 06:09

6-7 hours but can be as low as about 4 if I can't switch off.

Usually broken not by much and I get back off to sleep quickly.

Abstractthinking · 29/04/2024 06:10

6-8, usually between 6 and 7. I'd like it be nearer 8 to feel better, but it doesn't happen often.

Heatherbell1978 · 29/04/2024 06:12

I'm struggling a bit with insomnia (peri menopause) and I would say 5 hrs - no issues getting to sleep but often wake around 4am and can't get back to sleep. I take a Nytol a few times a week which really helps.

potatoschpotato · 29/04/2024 06:55

Usually about 5-6. I struggle to get to sleep before 11ish (and I like to read), DH is usually awake about 4.30 (he's a terrible sleeper), goes to the gym at 5, after which Ddog is wide awake and starts haranguing me for a walk. I love them both dearly but some days I dream of living alone and getting 8 hours sleep, I'm so tired most of the time.

justmyluck1234 · 29/04/2024 06:57

Probably around 5hrs of very broken sleep

Tailfeather · 29/04/2024 07:11

Oh gosh. I couldn't cope on 5-6 hours. I get 8 hours most nights, but occasionally go to bed at the same time as my DC and get 10-12 hours!

I think this is my issue too.
Do you find the nytol is working ?

KThnxBye · 29/04/2024 09:18

Around 5 hours, I have no trouble sleeping and dc are old enough not to wake me now but really don’t have enough time in the day to get any more than 5.

Sometimes I get a nice 8 hours lie in for a special occasion or something and it’s lovely. But even on holiday there is usually no time for lie ins or early nights.

I usually sleep between about 2 and 7am
