Sleeping Bags

Please can I have some advice regarding sleeping bags?

My house is currently 15 degrees. Would a 2.5 tog sleeping bag together with a long sleeved vest and sleep suit be suitable for my 3 month old? I'm absolutely terrified of her overheating and I've never tried a sleeping bag before.

I wanted personal advice rather than looking at webpages.

Thank you

I just used a thin gap sleep suit. No vest and a sleeping bag.

I think the vest is overkill. Especially with a nappy. That keeps them warm.

I know you say you aren't looking for webpage advice, but tbh this is the easiest way to show you what you need to use based on temperature of the room...

www.google.com/search?q=sleep+bag+guide&oq=sleep+nag+guide&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCQgBEAAYDRiABDIGCAAQRRg5MgkIARAAGA0YgAQyCQgCEAAYDRiABDIJCAMQABgNGIAEMgkIBBAAGA0YgAQyCAgFEAAYFhgeMggIBhAAGBYYHjIICAcQABgWGB4yCAgIEAAYFhgeMggICRAAGBYYHjIICAoQABgWGB4yCAgLEAAYFhgeMggIDBAAGBYYHjIKCA0QABgKGBYYHjIKCA4QABgFGA0YHtIBCDQ4NjJqMGo5qAIAsAIA&client=ms-android-samsung-ss&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#vhid=aB6ebXD1FqSRIM&vssid=l

Some anecdotal advice would be to ignore how cold their hands are. Babies hands are cold even if they aren't. Touch their chest to get a better gauge of how hot/cold they are. If in doubt, let them get a bit cold rather than too warm, they will wake up if they are too cold and let you know, but it's not good to overheat.

The sleeping bags are brillant! Loved it. Kept her in that for years.

My daughter is in fleece pj’s and a 1.5tog sleeping bag, no vest. I swapped from a 2.5 tog last week as she was waking up a lot in the night felt really warm at the back of her neck. She’s 18 months

15 degrees is far too cold, especially as it will likely drop further during the night with no heating on. Can you put the heating on for an hour or 2 and then vest, sleep suit and bag will be fine.
