2YO still waking for milk bottle help!

Hello, first time posting here. Really hope someone can help! My daughter is 2 years and 3 months and still uses her MAM bottles at night and before naps. She has half a bottle before her nap and about 1.5 bottles before bed and more if she wakes up in the night asking for more.

We've just let it continue because it seems easier that way, but I worry about her teeth with the night bottles and would also like her to sleep through. We also need to start potty training too and so that much liquid at night will be a challenge!

Please can someone help us with ideas on how to wean her off - any strategies that worked? Should we try changing the bottle first?

Have you tried switching to a cup before bed instead? Then if she wakes offer some water?

Hey, I put a post up about this and yours came up. You are not alone!

My 2.5 year old is pretty much exactly the same. Healthy and eats well but living for the night feeds 🙄 I've been feeling really guilty about the teeth thing. She's also really strong willed and gets herself so worked up once she's upset which again is part of why I've avoided stopping the night feeds. But the wet nappies have become such an issue that I've been forced to change it now. Also potty training feels like it would be impossible?!

We've been watering down the milk slowly so now 2/3 water (She hasn't noticed) and I'm using smaller sippy cup now too. Also have tried to give her a cuddle and soothe her back without milk (I sleep in with her after 1st wake up but hope to phase this out one day too) and she's been surprisingly OK with this once she understands that theres no more and she can have some in the morning. Just changed up the routine and done a night of milk before bed, then reading, teeth and snuggle and it took 1.5 hours of wriggling and some moaning on her part but eventually she did go down. Have no idea what will happen in the long term because I'm still having to get up when she wakes but fingers crossed.

Hope if anything you dont deel on your own with it. Good luck to you! Give us an update on how its going
