Cry it out?

I don't know about the cry it out method, our daughter is 16 months and still wants a cuddle to bed every night but it's proving difficult when other people have her.

What do you all think?

Me and my partner keep arguing about it....

And please don't listen to Pampers. They are a profit-making corporation and they are trying to pathologise normal infant behaviour and sleep. Their stupid 'sleep programme' with no scientific or psychological basis - which basically just tells you to leave your baby to cry - is the thing that's shameful.

ops update?im sorry I don't follow.

I understand there can be drawbacks to every way people choose to raise their children.

Coming to a forum like this is because I care and I want to do what's best for my child.
Being called a "sh*t and lazy parent does not help anyone.

Well it might help your baby if you rethink your parenting approach and don't leave him to cry so that he gets scared of bedtime 😔 I didn't say you were a bad parent or a shit parent (one event or choice does not define a parent) but I do think leaving a baby to cry is bad parenting. That is my opinion. I think it's horrible for any baby, but because your son is a little older, it's easier to read his emotions than a younger baby, so you can see in his face how traumatic it will be for him.

The original poster is being referred to here. You’ve added your question to the end of an old thread and that’s confused people.

@Gusgus23 wasn't referring to you, perhaps you should start your own thread as using someone else's can get things muddled

Yes I realise now.

First time posting so I found a thread similar to my question.

I have started a thread but no replies.

Thank you for your help.
