Just wanting sympathy as my 20 month old has his canines coming in. Normally excellent sleeper but lots of inconsolable crying 😢. By far worst teeth so far!

Hi 👋 not canines but my 8 month old has her two top front ones coming through and sleep has totally gone to pot. Bottom ones were fine but these ones have been horrendous. I'm absolutely hanging and sending you lots of solidarity ❤️

My nearly 15 month old also has her canines coming in (she is an early teether) and they have been horrific. No appetite, horrendous tantrums, sleep gone to pot. I'm with you!
Have you had any other symptoms apart from sleep OP?

My 2 year old has his coming too! And the bottom ones. He's always been fine with teething but he has covid at the moment so the combination isn't great!

Same here. 15 month old, third canine has just broken through, no appetite, tantrums, haven't been able to put her down for much longer than 15 minutes for days now. These have been by far the worst.

Glad it's not just me then. Solidarity!

@Purple89 he's also not 100% well (he always seems to get ill when teething!) but otherwise generally OK in the day. By late afternoon/evening he's grumpier and his appetite wanes. The impact on sleep has been the worst symptom for sure. Tonight he went down without too much fuss though so fingers crossed he's through the worst of it. I'm anxious though knowing there's likely to be a middle of the night wake up!

Hope everyone else's little ones are doing OK this evening. Poor babies!

Sending solidarity - DD is 20 months and her canines are finally through - they took the longest out of all her teeth and have been the worst by far. She was never particularly affected by teething in that any discomfort was eased by nurofen / granules / gel but the canines were something else. After putting her down to sleep she would wake every 20 mins for about 3 hours then I think tiredness would take over and she’d sleep.

The only thing that worked was a combination of Anbesol and Nurofen so try that. I found that DD’s existing teeth had to move quite a lot to accommodate the canines and this was the most painful part for her, them actually coming through wasn’t so bad. That part took about 10 days IIRC.

Sending support and coffee, and hope your LO feels better soon x
