Sorry no one can say but it will get better. How old is she?

GreatGateauxsby · 05/01/2024 11:21

No good answer other than I like to think I’m not unintelligent but had no clue HOW non linear children’s sleep is… 🤷🏻‍♀️

it does/will get better at some point

FebMama · 05/01/2024 19:06

@parietal he's 11 months so on the later end for crawling but it's causing havoc to his sleep.

@GreatGateauxsby you're spot on. It's just so frustrating 😩

No advice. Just solidarity. Same here in our household atm.

FebMama · 05/01/2024 19:23

@Omma23 it's tough isn't it. What are nights looking like for you at the moment?

Solidarity. DD2 just turned 9 months and since learning to crawl 2 weeks ago, from 1am she's basically awake every hour. Let's hope we all get some sleep soon!

FebMama · 05/01/2024 21:07

@Blauehortensie our night wakes start at 11pm! Almost on the dot every night! Occasionally will resettle with a hand hold but still up within the hour or two again. Other option is to bring him in the bed from 11 onwards which I've been doing more and more of 🤷🏽‍♀️

@FebMama what even is a night anymore?! It all rolls into one.
Mostly fighting sleep until the bitter end, becoming overtired by not napping and then waking every hour from 6-12, usually just a dummy drop. After 12 it becomes every 20-30 mins as she turns herself around in her cot and gets stuck. I’ve given up at this point and bring her into bed from that part of the night and she magically sleeps. Seems the only way but I would much rather her just stay in her own cot. But I also just need to sleep for my own sanity.
