Has anyone used the smart sleep coach app by Pampers?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had tried the smart sleep coach app by Pampers?

It's quite expensive so I tried to look online for independent reviews (not the reviews on the App Store) but couldn't find any.

It looks pretty good and is definitely cheaper than a sleep consultant and due to being at my wits end I'm willing to try anything! Thanks

I want to know this too! It’s my second baby but I’m as clueless as the first time. Their insta page has lots of good tips…

Hopefully this post will help bump your post (and do report back if you try it!).

I’m currently doing the 7 day free trial (have set a reminder in my phone to cancel before they charge me £70 for a few months)
you fill in a quiz and it comes up with a sleep schedule to follow and it will update automatically when you add naps etc. the wake windows seem quite short to me. Today 6m old was ‘supposed’ to nap for half an hour at 4.15 and when he wasn’t asleep by 5 it updated to say out to bed for th night at 5pm. So I’m not convinced yet but will persist for a few more days!

Hi, sorry I missed these replies!

I got the free trial too but annoyingly it doesn't allow you to start and pause naps/sleep so you have to keep track of everything which I found impossible!

I also agree that the suggested sleep windows were also off and would have assumed that they would tailor them to each child?

Also be careful because they took the payment from me a day early so had to request a refund!

I’ll also add an update as a didn’t renew after the trial. The training part of the app surprised me. It does include a timer to activate at bedtime as it’s basically timed intervals to check in the crying child which some might find useful. What shocked me was it’s advice for naps was to put therm in the cot and start the timer. If the child hadn’t started to sleep after an hour of being in the cot then just to pick them up and carry on as if nothing happened. So basically just leave your kid screaming for an hour (unless in my sleep deprived state I misunderstood!)
Id maybe recommend the trial if you don’t have another sleep app and don’t know anything at all about baby sleep but otherwise avoid. anyway hope everyone else is doing better with sleep than us!

@Ggm23, I'm just coming to the end of my free trial and it may have changed since you were on but you can add in awake periods. You just have to click on the nap and then click "add wake up". Was scary how accurate the nap times were once I did that!

@Restingpotato, from what I understand there are 3 different support levels. The hardest is what you've described - leaving them to cry, then there's mid support which is leave them and set the timer for 5 minutes, then 6, then 7 and so on and lastly the most supported is going in and soothing them if they cry and involves assisting them to sleep. Haven't done anything other than tracking baby's sleep as I annoying didn't factor in jabs but plan on starting tonight on the mid level of support. Eeek! Wish me luck!

Any luck with the sleep coach app?

Trying to survive the 4m sleep regression

Hey, I also have a 4 month old and have been struggling with her sleep.

She won’t fall sleep unless rocked and almost always wakes up screaming once we put her down in her crib. Tonight we started our chosen sleep training method of letting her cry it out (timed intervals) as it worked well with my first born 4 years ago.

We’re going to try without the app but if after a few days we don’t see any progress then I definitely will consider the sleep coach app x

Hey, how did you get on? I'm at my wits end with my 6m old!

@Lucky2023 Hi there,

I did the 7 day trial when my baby was about 4 months which worked well even for just that short time. I then moved to the app Napper for a week when my babe was around 7 months and then subscribed to Hucklberry for a year on a friend's recommendation but hated it! I then ended up going to back to Pampers and just paying the subscription when he was 9 months old.
You can choose what level of involvement you want and how many naps your baby is having though it has adapted to him now having just 1 nap a day.
At 9 months we did some mild sleep training so that I could stop the nighttime feeds which was fine for a while but then he got a cold and was waking again in the night.
Eventually at 11 months we decided to do a higher level of sleep training as the sleep deprivation was starting to make me feel crazy(!) I would 100% recommend the Pampers Sleep App. We did a week of sleep training though he took to it in 2 days. We don't always stick to it especially if he's ill but we've found a sweet spot where at 13 months he now naps for 2 hours in the day (we cap them as per the app unless he's ill) and around 10 hours through the night. Wish he was a 12 hour night sleeper but all babies are different and he's never tired. Finally getting decent sleep and only breastfeeding in the morning and before bed.

Can I ask why did you prefer sleep coach over napper? Napper is quite a bit cheaper monthly so swaying towards this but just signed up to the 7 day trial of sleep coach before bite the bullet and pay!
