Moved house, now no sleep!

My little girl has just turned 2 and about 10 days ago we moved house in the same area. She was always such a good sleeper, we'd put her down at night and for a nap and within 5-10 mins she'd be asleep until morning or a couple of hours of napping. She was always great at self soothing.

Now, in the new house, she is screaming/crying at bedtime/nap time and doesn't calm down unless you're in the room with her. I appreciate that it's a lot of change for a little one to have a new bedroom in a new house. We've tried leaving her to cry, which can take about an hour for her to fall asleep before she wakes up again and the cycle starts again. We've tried staying in the room while she falls asleep but don't want to make this a habit. She seems to be getting worse each day.

It feels like we've taken several steps back with her sleeping. Does anyone have experience of this (especially when moved house) and have any tips?

I'd cosleep whilst she adjusts.

Help her take ownership of her new room. Decorated, get some new bits etc.

Just stay with her until she gets used to it, it's an unfamiliar place and she's only 2.

Don't leave your 2 year old to cry on her own for an hour, she'll end up even more anxious about being left there.

Would a little (dull) nursery night light help? We had one which played a tinkling nursery rhyme and usually by the time the tune stopped, sleep had overtaken.

I'd keep with it but maybe leave her and return to settle her. She's likely struggling to adjust to the new environment.
