DS is almost 1. Never been a good sleeper, but just recently sleeping from 7 - 5. He WILL not go back to sleep unless i feed him at 5. I have been reducing the amount for the past 2 weeks and three days ago would settle after just 2 ozs. So for the past three days i have just been offering water. Which he takes, (2-4ozs)but rather than go back to sleep, like he used to, now he just screams when i put him down.
Anyone been here and can advise what i might try. Would PU PD work at this age, or indeed for this one wake in the night?

The problem i am facing now is that i am over due with LO3 and i dont know how i am going to continue to cope with situation?

i read/watched that for early wakers get them up and start the day, delay the feed as long as you can (to try get it to a more reasonable breakfast time)i never feed my dd straight away when she wakes early i get her up but leave her about half an hour before bottle, now when she wakes she lays in cot babbling to herself until i get her (7am). Sorry i dont know what PU PD is

for a week don't feed him till 7am, that way he'll get used to only expecting food then. they slowly go in later each day to get him. day 1-5, day 2-5.10 etc. ignore any screaming. when you get to 6.30/7pm whatever you think is acceptable then go get him that time every day. i got this from healthy sleep habits, healthy child-really recommend!

Thanks! Sounds like it might be worth a try, might even invest in the book...who's the author?
