Any mums out there? 7m awake 1-5am!

As the title says. Why is he doing this?

Wakes up at 1am and stays awake mostly babbling, squeaking, sort of crying but not, whinging etc till 5am. I don’t even know what to do anymore so tonight I haven’t gone to bed before it happens so I’m not as annoyed when it does. He has loads of 7-9oz bottles during the day(on thick calorific milk due to Laryngomalacia). 2 big naps. 7pm bedtime, white nose machine, perfect temp room and clothes to match. I’m all out of ideas. My only thought is that he’s hungry for food but I’m having huge problems weaning him as he gags on everything due to his Laryngomalacia. Have an app with the dietician next week. I don’t even know What to do anymore I’m SO tired!!!! Any advice please. From a really tired mum who has posted before when bubba was 6 months. Also have a 3 year old who wakes when he hears the blabbering all night so everyone is exhausted.

sidnt want to read and run, also have a 7mo very similar. I have been reading and asking the same, although no medical issues known

after reading today I think maybe entering the 8 month regression stage?! I just dropped to 2 naps but hourly wakings remind me of a regression

I’m to the point where sleep training will be next to try help both of us sleep longer! Good luck

Oh crikey. I've no idea but that sounds tough.

Any chance you could do a few days where you nap when the 7mth does just to build up your strength and then on day three wake them early from their second nap so they're really tired in time for bed? Might get slight longer.

A bit of lavender oil on a cloth somewhere in the room not too close can help too. As can an overstimulating day. Trickier with a baby though but maybe a bit of sign and sign, they're old enough to learn a couple of signs and it could be a good way to distract and entertain them during feeding times - the sign for 'more' and 'milk' our baby could use by about 7/8 months after a bit of practice (yay for lockdown...😬😬😬)

It sounds really tough. I wonder if it's worth propping the bed up slightly too if there's an issue with swallowing, maybe they're uncomfortable on their back but honestly it could just be a rough month due to growing pains or brain growth etc. Babies are TOUGH. No idea how parents cope with a toddler too. Heroic. Good luck 🍀
