Toddler horrendous sleep

Has anyone else got a toddler who won’t sleep without milk?! We stopped night feeds completely at 13 months but after a nasty case of D&V that we ended up in hospital with, my almost 2 YO will not go back to sleep without a bottle of milk and in our bed.

The last week she’s been waking up every hour or so in the night asking for milk, which then turns into a screaming fit. Last night we refused milk as she’d already had some an hour before and she was up 11.30 - 4.30, we had to take her out in the car in the end. If we give milk we actually have a chance of her going to sleep

We both work full time and are really struggling. We have tried going cold turkey during the night but after a couple of hours I just give in because we’re so tired 😥

I know it’s just a habit and it’s awful for her teeth but I just have no idea how to stop it. After she was poorly we just went with it and presumed it was a phase but it’s been 2 months now.

Anyone have any advice? If we give water or watered down milk she throws it and just screams. It’s so hard

Anyone?! The last 2 nights since I wrote this she’s hysterical, refusing the milk (good!) and just demanding to come in our bed. I’ll bring her in and she tosses and turns for HOURS and just won’t go back to sleep

I’m actually going through something very similar I have a 16 month old he used to fall asleep on a bottle every night and then wake up 4-6 times a night for more milk and if I didn’t give him milk he would just kick off untill I gave in he has never slept through the night and last night I decided enough was enough so a hour before bed I offered him milk in a sippy cup and he drank alittle bit but not much after about 10 mins of him not touching it I took it away at bed time I put him to bed with a non spill copy cup with just a small amount of water in and he didn’t cry which was a shock he just lay there for a little bit then finally went off but then he woke up 2 hours later and he kicked off for 2 hours I brought him into my bed and just cuddled him and I just stayed clam told him no milk time for bed and then would shush him after 2 hours of crying and talking he finally went off he kept waking though the night and I just shushed him untill he went back to sleep but he didn’t cry untill 5am and he didn’t cry for to long for nap time today again just put him down with a sippy cup which he didn’t use he moaned for about 10 15 mins but did eventually go off when you give her milk a hour before bed do you give it in a baby bottle ? if you do maybe try offering it in a sippy cup
also maybe try giving her a comfort blanket she can use to cuddle and bite instead of don’t already I found this helps my little one maybe a ceiling projector something she can look at to distract her if don’t already I wish I could be more help but from one tierd mum to another you have got this hope you find a way to get her off milk
