Adult Insomnia - (worry related) what do you recommend?

Since my DS has been ill I have not been sleeping. His meds now mean he rarely wakes at night but I have got into the habit of waking (3am ish) and being totally unable to go back to sleep.

This is stress related as I have also felt sick for the last few weeks, stomach in knots etc, but I am having difficulty at work and home as sooooo little sleep.

I tried some "Sleep Aid" Last night as DH would be around in the morning if I was comatose, but they did nothing.

Any suggestions?

I found Kalms Nighttime quite helpful. They didn't stop me waking up but I was able to go back to sleep again instead of lying awake for hours.

Do you feel hungover in the morning?

Hopefully we will have all scans etc back in a week and I will be able to sleep when I know what I am dealing with.

No I had no after effects in the morning at all and no problems waking up. In fact after a few nights I actually felt better in the mornings as I was getting a good nights sleep.

Good luck with the results.

I tried "Quiet life" from holland and barratt... basically a version of Kalms. The idea being that you take them in the day too and a couple at night. Seem to work for me and non drowsy - Kalms type things are a good place to start...
