Thanks

No sorry but I would be interested in any recommendations too!
Or even just a recommendation for an online guide or book - there's so many websites pop up and their plans/info are not expensive but Ive no idea what is worth it and what will just be a rehash of basic info.

How old is your LO? I might be able to recommend a book Wink

Just coming up to 6 weeks. I know it's too early for proper training but we are struggling - he has had cows milk allergy and reflux which has led to a habit of sleeping upright in arms and refusing ant flat surface (cosleeping on his back, crib, pram, rocker all make him scream). Which doesnt allow for sleep now husband is back at work so I've been cosleeping with him on his side and using a sling all day. Worried about safety at night and my back/sanity in the day!

It's so difficult when they have CMPA isn't it? I know as I have it Wink

Have you had a look at the No Cry Sleep Solution? There's a No Cry Nap Solution for the daytime too Flowers

My lo is 13 months and still up every 2 hours

Depends what type of sleep consular at you are looking for. I can recommend fox and the moon on Instagram. Have a look at her page it’s a softer approach and she really looks at the individual child rather than a blanket course for all

Mumoftwo2022 · 25/08/2023 12:38

Username is foxandthemoon_sleep

SleepJoy - she's absolutely brilliant and all via zoom/ calls/ WhatsApp if you prefer

Ann Caird at Nurturing Sleep - saved my sanity.

What are you doing when he wakes?

Floppyfrog · 25/08/2023 15:33

I had a very clingy cmpa baby. I'd stop framing it as a 'habit', it's just meeting baby's needs.

I would focus on safe co sleeping - get a cosy onesie for you for winter. And I'd invest in a very good supportive sling, not a forward facing crotch dangler.

@ sleep wellwith_hannah

on instagram and Facebook seems really good although I've not paid for her services I have completed the free Facebook sleep course and found it useful

Anonnewbie · 25/08/2023 16:45

Thanks @SiouxsieSiouxStiletto and I'm just glad we found the relatively early - there were some absolute nightmare days before I cut out dairy!
@Floppyfrog cosy onesie is such a good idea thanks! Although I'll have to remember not to wear it all day - I bought a few pairs of dungarees which are great for BF and forgiving on the sizing, however I've realised I then can't go to the loo with the baby carrier on!
Sorry to hijack the thread but I hope at least it bumped it up the chats a bit.

What are you doing when he wakes?

I did stop bf ing him and just rubbed his back. Then he got ill so I'm back to feeding but trying to reduce the time he feeds for.

Thanks everyone. I'll look at all the suggestions

If you're BFing him every 2 hours at night, and there's no judgement from me, it's perfectly understandable if he's been ill, have you tried Dr Jay Gordon's gentle night weaning method?

It should work and will be a lot cheaper than a sleep consultant Wink

Child sleep solutions. Amazing!!! Nicola is so so so lovely and got our son sleeping in one night with barely any distress.

I would read up about safe co sleeping. I am all for sleep training (would recommend Lucy Wolfe) but no amount of sleep training will help a baby in pain. Which your baby will be in because of the reflux.

Kate Reynolds ( https://www.surreysleepcoach.com/ ) was brilliant if you're still looking. We did our call over Zoom so imagine she can help wherever you are x
