how many hours at night do your 4 and 6 year olds sleep

my ds is 4 and is in bed by 6.30 at the latest at the moment! he is asleep by 7 and sleeps till 7.30 ish! he also has a 2 hour sleep at weekends!

ok so 11 - 12 hours ios the norm

About 12 hours give or take an hour either way. More likely to be 13 than 11 hours though. Sometimes 14 hours if she has had a busy week.

DD is nearly 4

Roughly 12. Slightly less.

6 year old girl sleeps for 12 or more if she can get away with it.

My 7 yr old goes to sleep at 8.10pm and wakes between 6.30 and 7am.

5 year old from 7.30 til 6.30

so between 10.5 and 11 hours - wish they could be 12 hour girls!!

My 6yr old DS goes to bed 8pm prompt everynight(only child in the world who actually asks to go to bed!), wakes up 7-7.30am.

Both ds's (aged 6 and 3) go to bed at 7.30 p.m. - sometimes slips a bit past but not much. They tend to wake about 6.45, disturbed by sound of dh shaving. Left alone, they would sleep a bit longer, until about 7.15. Ds2, who will be 4 in March, also happily has a nap during the week for about 90 mins but not at the weekend - too much going on!

DS is 2.3 and sleeps 7pm-7am on average.

Ops, just noticed that this is aimed at 4 & 6 year old. "Discussion of the day" doesn't mention the age!

ds (6) will normally go to bed around 8 - 8.15 but often not asleep before 9, then up between 6.30 and 7am .

my ds goes to bed betwen 7-8pm and wakes up between 7.30 and 8.30 unless i go and wake him up earlier hes 2 years and 3 months.
