Tonight has been awful and it's only 1:24am he's been awake and crying every hour since 8pm I've tried everything I think he's teething I'm not sure but he will only sleep when held which is meaning I'm getting no sleep atall I might start crying with him if this holds up 😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

Maybe you should try to adapt to cosleeping, which will make him feel safe. It will take some time, but in my experience, it is effective

There is a sleep regression/progression around 4/5 months. It’s horrendous.
my second didn’t sleep for like 3 months - we were traumatised.
but it improved and then we sleep trained which I highly Recommend . my two are brilliant sleepers now (1 and 3)

it gets better, you just have to get through it..

@yvonneb13 was about to say about the sleep regression pp just said.
It will get better. Mine hit the regression stage here and then again when learning to crawl and walk, I thought I was going mad and I couldn't function normally because I was so tired.
No advice really but you'll get through it. Then when they do sleep you'll be waking up wanting to check in them because your worried!

His naps have been awful today I've managed 2 car naps both only 20-30 minutes long all he would do as nothing was settling him. I haven't managed to rest today how on earth do people get through this

Do you have a partner? If so, would recommend "splitting" the nights, so one of you looks after baby from 7pm-12 and the other for the remainder of the night, that way you get some bulk sleep.
