how much? she is my pfb so I have no idea. The last couple of days she has had more sleep than the last couple of weeks, put this down to being tucked in instead of being on top of the blankets. She was miserable when she was more awake, maybe she was too tired?

So what naps and for how long should she have?

congratuations on your new arrival.

when my DD was this age she could probably only stay up for about 1-1.5hours at a time. So she'd have 3 or 4 naps between waking and "bedtime" (though she was up most of the evening so I hesitate to call it that), depending on how long the naps were. At this age some babies will nap for 3 hours, so might need fewer naps, others are catnappers and need more. My dd got herself into a pattern at about 12 weeks. It wasn't one I would have chosen, but at least she became more predictable .

we have had a really good and predictable night time routine for a few weeks. bedclothes +/- bath at 6pm, feed at 6.30pm, bed at 7pm. Feed and new nappy at 10-11pm (we wake her if necessary). Wakes at 3-4am, wakes 6-8am.
Daytime is less predictable! I am glad she is having better naps, I can get my essays done!

that does sound like a good night-time routine ! sound like your DD is well on the way to finding her own little patterns.

lets hope so! I'm very grateful she sorted out the night time first and very early.

Since waking at 0700 she has had naps at
8.30-10.30
12.00-2.40
3.30-now but was grumpy at 3.15, I didn't think she could be tired already though but she was, she'd only been up about half an hour.

So that is about 5.5 hours sleep. Will probably be 6-6.5 hours by she wakes up. She will probably then sleep 7-7 except for 2x 30 mins periods for feed and change. Is she sleeping too much?
