Wake hours? Should I be worried?

My DS is 5 weeks old, and everyone has commented on how awake he is! Which, of course, has me googling at 10 pm..
Basically, the guidance online states that at this age, a baby should MAX be awake for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
But DS can be awake for 2-3 hours ? He is happy, fed, changed, very playful, and babbling. I can always tell when he's tired and he doesn't fight it, so I've never questioned it.
I had put it down to him being a bigger baby (than the average), born 9lb 6oz.
However, online, it says you have to pretty much force them to sleep because it's a "sleeping issue"?
Would you be worried about this, or am I over reading?
I should say that even when I lay him in a sleep area in a calm environment, he can still be awake for a few hours. It doesn't force him to sleep. He just chills.
Anyone else's baby like this?

Extra info just in case.. He is my first baby, he is EBF, and he currently weighs 11lb 3oz. He feeds every 2-3 hours. His wake hours are during the day, but on a night he sleeps soundly, waking every 3ish hours for a feed, then going back to sleep.

Step away from Google, follow your babies cues which it sounds like you have been doing, if baby is happy and well then just relax and enjoy.

That's what I thought, I've just been going by him, for everything.. But so many people have commented and questioned it that I started to doubt myself .. Thank you

Even the most well researched studies or articles can only account for the 'norm' in the middle of the curve. Some will need more some will need less if he's happy then it's totally fine you're doing great

My little girl is nearly 2 but was always awake much longer than she ‘should’ have been and has always been low day sleep needs baby. Neither me or DH are people who would ever nap regardless of how badly we’d slept etc so think she’s just following after us!

Sounds the same as us! Thank you for the reassurance ..

😂It isn't possible to "force" a human being to sleep!

Sounds perfectly normal :)

😂don’t believe the books or Google, some babies are awake 22 hours a day.
