9 month old stirring 5 times a night

My little girl is almost 10 months old. She’s having 2 naps during the day and can sleep solidly for those no problem even with her dummy out.

At night after around an hour after going to bed she starts to stir when her dummy is out. She doesn’t wake up but she just cries until her dummy is put back in (if not fast enough she wakes) and then back to sleep till the next time.

Some nights it’s 5/6 times that I’m up during the night to run and put her dummy back in. Feel like she’s not at the right age now to get rid of it and should have done it earlier.

I go back to work in 2 weeks and really don’t want to be a zombie ☹️☹️

Hi op. My little one is 9 months and I'm dreading the back to work, when I go in a few weeks, so I sympathise. Mine is still up 2-3 times a night wanting feeds too 😅.

I've seen a few people on here who've bought multiple dummies to lie around the cot so they're little one can find one more easily to put back without your help. Might that work?

Hi 👋.
It’s an awful feeling isn’t it! I know after a few weeks once we’re more in a routine it won’t feel as bad but at the minute I can’t think of anything worse.

I have tried putting extra dummies in her cot as well as one in her mouth but it’s like she’s still asleep when she’s stirring, her eyes are still closed and she’s just crying until a dummy gets put back in, she doesn’t really even attempt to find one herself. I’ve even placed one in her hand. She’s capable of putting it back in as she does it before a nap, in and out. But during the night she just doesn’t seem awake enough to find it and do it herself.
She also rolls a lot and sleeps on her front so usually ends up lay on them.

I’ve spent money on comforters that dummies attach to but she’s not having any of it 😂
