Desperate to get 6mo out of our bed at night

My 6mo has coslept with me since the beginning. As a newborn I was taking the path of least resistance and it has just continued to be the easiest thing. She will feed to sleep then wake up throughout the night, latch back on and get back off to sleep. I’m really keen to get her out of the bed now. Only into a bassinet that’s attached to my side of the bed! But she is having none of it.

Everything I read says to start off with day time naps in there. She has been doing this for several months. She will go to sleep in the bassinet for naps during the day, i feed her most of the way asleep then pat her bum til she’s off. Anyway, I’m at a loss about the next steps to take to get her sleeping in there at night. She screams as soon as put down. I tried for 1.5 hours tonight to no avail and have given up and got her into bed with me. She’s currently fast asleep tucked up right into my body.

Anyone have any tips or success stories? I don’t want to leave it too long as I think all of us are having worse sleep than we need to with this arrangement! But I’m at a loss of how to wean her off this closeness to me she has gotten so used to. Tia x

I had similar issues and had to move her into her own room. My DD settled very quickly
without me in the room. I set her up in a nice car which musical light mobile and she would fall
asleep in there with a bottle : good luck as
it is horrendous

Do you do anything differently between day naps and night time? E.g. day naps you pat her then leave the room vs night you try to lay her down while lying in bed and stay there? If so, what if you treat it as if it's a day nap and see if she drops off?
