Molars Taking Forever

My DD has her first 2 molars cutting through (she is 11.5 months) and has been inconsolable for the past couple of weeks. Parts of both teeth have cut through but only about a quarter of each tooth and then...nothing. No progress whatsoever. She has 8 teeth already and has been quite an early teether. She was a bit upset when she first started teething but handled the pain pretty well up until now.

She has gone from being a good sleeper to now frequently waking in the night screaming. We are giving her Ibuprofen before bed and also administer it if she wakes and is unable to calm down. It has unfortunately hit at a bad time as she also seems to have a sleep regression and separation anxiety going on, plus she only started nursery 2 weeks ago. All happening at the same time!

We do all the obvious things and use teething gels etc. She used to love her teething toys when much younger but now refuses to use them. Is more interested in biting us and her fingers no matter how much we encourage the teething toys!

I just feel exhausted at the moment as she is so miserable day and night. The last time my sleep was this interrupted was when she was a newborn! I've tried everything to console her (co-sleeping with me and my partner, co-sleeping with just me, me sleeping on her nursery floor, comforting her in the crib - absolutely nothing helps unless I am holding her). We have now had to resort to letting her cry it out which has actually produced better results and enabled her to get more sleep in her cot (where it is clear she prefers to be sleep-wise).

Just looking for an injection of positivity. Can someone please tell me things get better?! And if there is any advice beyond all the obvious things, please do share! Thank you.

Eeeesshh. Sounds like you're doing everything, though times.

Try capol instead of Ibuprofen as I find it tends to last longer. Though Ibuprofen is more effective in numbing that sort of pain.
