Nearly three year old waking for hours every night

Hi everyone our nearly three year old has on majority been a good sleeper. She wakes around 7/8 in the morning , doesn’t nap in the day. The odd time falls asleep in the car but we limit this to 20 minutes . Then goes up to bed around 7 and used to sleep through the night. A few weeks ago she began waking between 12 and two and is up for hours on end. It’s like once she’s awake she’s wide awake. Things went back to normal for a few days now she’s back at being awake every night for hours again. In her bed she has one or two comforters . I’ve tried everything to stop her waking in the night but I’m at a loss what to do next .

No advice sorry but in the same boat with my 3.5 year old who has been getting out of bed for the last 5 months. He was going back to sleep when I took him but now he refuses to stay on his own and usually sleeps in our bed now which I don’t like.

Wish I had some advice for you but just know you’re not alone.

If she’s only waking between 7am and 8am in the morning I’d try a later bedtime. DS needed at least 12h overnight when he first dropped his nap at around 2y 4 months, but as he’s got closer to 3 he just isn’t as tired anymore. He probably sleeps for about 11-11.5h overnight now. Some days more, some days less. You are aiming for 12-13h currently. Maybe try bedtime at 7:45?

Does she have worms?

Is her room too hot or cold?

I gave in with my youngest and her in with us. She stayed for 2 years. We loved it!😂

Later bedtime - 8pm ish

Later bedtime, make sure she has a little snack before bed, so she's not waking up hungry. X
