Toilet dream has mortified me

This is so embarrassing!
3 times in my 'adult'' life I have had the toilet dream which has become reality. The first time my partner was at his mums and second time I managed to catch it in time but last night there was no getting out of it. I felt so embarrassed having to wake my partner up to strip the bed and go in the shower. As well as being mortified with that, my dream has also haunted me. I was sexually abused when I was a child and in my dream my abuser kept looking through the toilet door so I was trying to wee as quickly as possible and I just keep picturing his face.
I usually get up to go to the toilet in the night but didn't last night & I didn't have much to drink before I went to sleep.
I have been quite stressed the past few weeks so maybe that has something to do with it but how can I make sure this doesn't happen again?
My partner wasn't mean, he just kept making up silly puns trying to make me laugh.
This is not what I wanted to be worrying about on Christmas eve 😫

Oh goodness, you poor thing, that sounds awful! Not embarrassing at all, our brains do all sorts of weird stuff that we have very little control over Flowers
Mine last night was that I was eating Christmas dinner with my parents in their dining room and was totally naked because I 'hadn't got round to getting dressed yet' ConfusedBlush

No need to be mortified - although it is inconvenient. Sounds like you are quite stressed?

My partner sleep walks and has been known to pick up furniture and place it on the bed, turn on all the lights in the house, etc. Stress triggers it for him, and I’d guess this kind of toilet dream is a form of sleepwalking, as the same function that paralyses us when we sleep is turned off. I don’t really have any advice for managing it, sorry, preside of trying to relax before bed. Maybe you can ask your GP as I believe sleepwalking is classed as a sleep disorder.

Yes, that happens to me too. Generally about once every couple of years. Not when drunk either - just a case of sleeping deeply and not a lot to be done. I make sure the mattress has a waterproof cover and just swear when it happens.
