Do babies just miraculously start sleeping one night...?

6months of a very very awake baby. Looking for hope!!!

Does anyone have a baby that was a terrible sleeper and suddenly just started sleeping through one night?

Mine gradually got better, reducing the number of wakes over months. Finally reliably started sleeping through at 10.5 months, though we still have some periods of (mostly development related!) Disruption at age 3.

Didn't sleep train, and didn't move her to her own room until she was 2 because...well...no idea why.

Yes she's just started at age 8! Not very helpful, sorry. She's always been a horrendous sleeper.
