White noise machine to play all night

Hello! I’m looking for recommendations for a white noise machine that will play all night (12 hours) to use in my DD’s room. We’re using an old mobile phone right now and the BBC Sounds tracks but I’d like something more permanent.

Needs to play continuously without an automatic shut-off. A night light would be a bonus but not at all essential. Don’t want a smart connected device, just something that will play a sound. Looking for something basic and low-priced.

TIA!

I use an old iPad and baby sleep sounds on repeat on Spotify

We got a lumi one from amazon which has been fab

Thanks - I’ll look into the Spotify options.

Our current set up with an old phone is working well, but the recent thread about charging phones being a fire hazard has me worried. I’d like something that’s designed to be plugged in all night.

I ask Google to play Rain sounds and it will for a good 8 hours

How about an Alexa? I use one and I either have it playing for ages or set a timer. You'd get one for cheap in the black Friday sale

Our iPad lasts all night without being plugged in

Bought DH one by Marpac 12 years ago. Still going strong after nightly use. You can adjust the pitch and volume.

We have always used a "Hatch" for our first son (it's been great to use as sleep trainer clock when he got older) you can choose noise and light, program when it turns on/off with your phone etc.
For second baby we're using the "hushh" portable white noise which has been great too, it's small and chargeable so you can take it outside too.

Tommee tippee dream maker - absolute game changer.

Alexa, ocean sounds.

Moshi, white noise or other on loop on said phone

Harrysmummy246 · 19/11/2022 16:53

(even this very old and cracked phone can play, all night if we forget it, without having to charge)

We have this one and it's great. Has a good battery life as well for when you inevitably unplug it and bring it in to your room when your toddler is somehow worse of a sleeper than when he was a baby.

And easy to take in the buggy/car/on holiday if you need to.

Yoto player, mini version is cheaper, it has sleep sounds and other free content and you can control from your phone. Also can be used for stories :) We have the white noise on all night 🌃
