5 week old no sleep

My 5 week old is a horrendous night time sleeper and has been from around a week old. She is combi fed throughout the day. Mainly breastfed with a formula bottle at 4pm and 10pm (which my other half gives)

From midnight when my OH brings her to bed - she will feed CONSTANTLY all night. If I’m lucky I might get a 20 minute break inbetween feeds. She won’t sleep on her back and I literally have to nestle her on the boob with my arm underneath - she just seems really restless constantly squirming and wriggling and sucking her hand.
I give her infacol a few times during the night as Ive suspected it’s wind due to the restlessness but it doesn’t seem to help.

annoyingly she will go into her deepest sleep around 6am and sleep til 8/9am (still quite restless but not waking up) - my boys are up at 6.30 every day so I’m not getting the chance to catch up on sleep even then.

is it worth taking her to the doctors? Have any other newborns been this unsettled?

I’m struggling with a similar problem. I have an 8 week old. She has terrible reflux possibly due to tongue tie which was clipped last week. We have to keep her upright for a long time before putting her to sleep and even then it’s touch and go as to how long she will go without refluxing which can be bad even 2 hours later. This means she has become more comfortable sleeping in a sling. The trouble is after 2 months of this my husband and I are exhausted and desperately need her to spend more time sleeping in her cot. Currently she spends around 4 - 5 hours in there across a 24 hour period. Has anyone else had this problem and can help?

She is only 5 weeks to still very new. I'd say it probably is worth a visit to the GP as she might be a bit colicky. On some next to me cribs your can actually tilt the cot end up a bit to help with wind issues.

Yes normal.
She is trying to up your milk supply. I would try to find an expert on combi feeding to consult to work out the best way to combi feed. I was only BF so my experience would be a bit different. Mine always fed constantly in the evening from about 5-11pm. (And still fed every couple of hours all night.....once they had learnt what night was.)

Have you tried allowing a dummy for comfort sucking?
