10 month old awake like clockwork at 11.30pm!

Me again 👋🏼

We've all been struck down with a cold the last week in our house and after one really rubbish night last weekend where I had to sleep on 10 month olds floor as she wouldn’t settle otherwise - baby’s been waking up at 11.30pm every night like clockwork. She cries and cries until I go in, try to settle her and doesn’t work. I’ve fed her now and she’s still awake rolling about, pulling her dummy out then crying for it.
she is still a bit bunged up so unsure if it’s still the cold playing on her? Or is it a regression? Is it teeth? Does her big toe hurt?! I’m losing the will now as I know it’ll be a repeat of the last few nights where she’s awake, on/off crying until the morning. fully aware this won’t be forever but I’m tired and grumpy
Routine wise she’s onto two naps, wakes roughly 6.30, nap about 9.30 for an hour & 10 usually then a nap around 2 for an hour/hour & 10.

any advice, or even just a sympathetic ‘there there’ will do!

It's so tough :( ... Babies just do what they want and I've given up and have baby with me in bed. He is 10 months too.

It will get better and you are doing the best job you can. Hope you can feel better with a decent coffee x

Does the heating go on or off then? Bleed the radiator to make it stop gurgling.

It could be any of those things.

It could also be that any calpol is wearing off and that’s bothering her, or that the nasal drip is gathering up. Most likely though is that’s the time she’s entering her lightest sleep phase and she’s struggling to get herself back to sleep, does she go to sleep independently?

jd be tempted to help her though the next few nights - calpol plug in in the bedroom; calpol before bed or at this time; milk and cuddles. Longer term making sure she is absolutely awake in her cot before she goes to sleep so she joins sleep cycles up.

She is bunged up so cant suck on dummy as easily. Warm shower would help.

thanks everyone for the replies, she was wide awake til 1.40am and would only settle when held which isn’t like her, then up on/off til 6! Caffeine drip required!

@Mimi1313 sending hugs to you! I toyed with the idea of bringing her in with us but she likes her own space which makes it hard to comfort her!

@Itisbetter it isn’t we usually pop it on for an hour around 1/2, but will try bleeding radiator thanks!

@ShirleyPhallus yep goes to sleep independently in her cot, we’ve got the plug-in but will try calpol before bed again!

@Geppili thank you, will try that!
