Covid and co-sleeping

9mo LO usually sleeps in her own room. Tested positive for Covid yesterday and she is so poorly. Chest not so much, but absolutely smothered with snots and a high fever. She (understandably) won't settle in her cot. Am happy to bring her in with us but how do I manage when she wakes up and potentially crawls off the bed!?

Are blankets/duvets still a risk at this age? She is very sturdy and mobile (is that relevant I don't know)

Tips from cosleeping veterans! Our bed is not next to a wall btw..

We put ours in the middle of the two of us. I also put a pillow length ways on each side, if that makes sense.
If not have you got a mattress you could move to the floor from another bed?
Hope she feels better soon.
Oh also when mine have been blocked up the only thing that has helped is the calpol plug ins, they are expensive but they do seem to work, for us anyway.

Mattress on the floor. You wear a dressing gown to keep warm and no pillow. If you did have your bed against the wall that would actually be a big no no as there is a very real risk of her becoming wedged between the bed and the wall.

From 6 months she can sleep between parents as long as you’re not overweight, smoking, taking medication which makes you sleep. But with an ill child you may prefer more room and for one of you to be getting good sleep at a time.

I hope you all get some sleep tonight.
