Sleeping bag Q

Hello!

I’m new here :) Wondering whether you guys could help me please? None of my friends have had this problem.

My baby girl is 9 months old and I’ve struggled to find her a sleeping bag that actually fits her properly! The issue is with the neck - every single one I’ve tried, her head goes through the hole so it’s covering her entire nose and mouth. She is definitely not a small baby for her age either! The 0-6 is obviously way too short for her legs but the 6-12/6-18 are huge for her neck and head!

So far I’ve tried: John Lewis, Mark’s and Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Aldi.

Any suggestions for ones with adjustable neck and shoulders or suggestions for alternatives would be so much appreciated!

Many thanks

I can't quite picture the issue, but maybe one with sleeves? Or one with poppers so the arm holes can be made smaller? Jojo mama baby are good as they have a zip at the front not the side, so unless your baby has an unusually small head I would have thought that would work?

Have you tried slumbersac. We got on with them really well.

I mean her head slips through the neck hole so the bag can almost cover her entire head.

Pure-flo would probably work for you, but they are very expensive

Get one that does up at the front op that should sort the issue as the neck is smaller than sideways ones. The only other option might be a smaller bag which zip undoes at the feet, but if she's a wriggler it's might still be an issue.
Alternatively could you cinch the arm hole to make the neck smaller?

I haven't actually, thanks for the suggestion. I'm looking on their website now.

We always used Grobag, they were excellent

LionessesRules · 10/09/2022 20:22

I'd try a slumbersac or grobag. I used both depending on what was in TKMaxx at the time! They were both a much better fit for my skinny, long child than generic ones we were lent.

I like slumber sac goes well with my tall kid. 90cm at 18 months 😳🙄 also head seems quite snug. Quite expensive, but they have good sales.and there sleeping bags with legs so loads of growing room.

That's a great idea, I have only ever got the side zip ones but I can see what you mean with the front zip. Will definitely look into those :)
