Newborn sleep

Hello!

I have an 8 week old baby who would happily sleep all night if I didn’t wake them up for feeds. (Been this way for a couple of weeks) Im just wondering if anyone has thoughts on whether I should start leaving my baby to sleep or continue to wake for feeds?

(For the record, I am not a braggy mum! I am fully aware of how lucky I am to have a newborn who sleeps and my problem being about newborn sleep! I also have a two year old who caused me sleep deprivation for a lot longer than a year, sleep therapy classes, I actually can’t write how bad it was… and is now the reason I’m questioning a baby who sleeps!!)

If there's no medical reason they need to be fed at regular intervals, I'd leave them to sleep.

I was always advised that once back to birth weight there’s no need to wake them for feeds. For us that was at two weeks.

Oh! This is interesting! I won’t wake up tonight for feeding times then !

No way to waking!! Leave lo and enjoy it. As someone said as long as gaining weight, lots of wet and dirty nappies. Leave lo till they wake from hunger. Maybe do a dream feed before you go sleep is only thing I would suggest as may miss the overnight feeds.
