5 week old baby can’t lay on her back / sleep

I’m struggling quite a bit with my little one who is almost 6 weeks old. She is exclusively breast fed and since around 2 weeks old she has really struggled with her tummy. I have no idea what it is as the symptoms seem to fit under everything I Google e.g. silent reflux, cows milk intolerance, lactose overload etc.
She cries a lot, largely after feeds but really whenever she isn’t asleep she’s probably crying or uncomfortable. She will feed for no more than 5-10 minutes at a time and then pull off before rooting like she wants more but will then gag or begin arching her back, crying and going red in the face stopping her feeding anymore.
She has hiccups countless times a day. After feeding her I have to sit her up where she usually gets one burp out, two if you’re lucky, but if I lay her flat on her back in the next two hours she will grunt, cry, pull her legs up and generally look really uncomfortable.
I cannot get her to sleep in her crib as even when she’s in a deep sleep on me, not long after moving her into her crib laid down she’s pulling her legs up, grunting and crying.

I started off trying Infacol and then Colief drops but neither seem to have really done anything. I don’t drink fizzy drinks and haven’t had any spicy food. I cut out cows milk/dairy products a week ago and again there’s no real significant change.

Any advice? If moving her to formula will be easier I don’t mind doing that but would rather not stop breastfeeding if the issue is actually her tummy and I’ll just have the same issues with formula.

I cut out all dairy and certain vegetables like broccoli and that helped. I would put my baby to sleep curled up on his tummy and be there to keep a watch and then move him onto his back when I went to sleep. We also found gripe water slightly more effective. What I wish I had done was kick off at the GP dismissing me and push for something like infant gaviscon as there are things that can help.

Baby massage also helped dislodge some of the gas as well.i thi k e spent the first few months lying across my knee on his tummy which hurt less.

Our little one is the same, also at almost 6 weeks.
If you do move to formula and can afford it, the readymade stuff with Colief drops seems to help slightly compared to the powder (think because its not shaken so no bubbles). This seems to work some days and not others.
Good luck, it's so hard to see them uncomfortable. Looking forward to hopefully a happy baby at 12 weeks when this should've passed.

It sounds like silent reflux. Have u seen gp? We got gaviscon and rinitidine for reflux and I cut out dairy. Also we tilted the cot.

Also can take 2-3 weeks to see effects of dairy free.
