6 month old sleep

My 6 month old DD was a brilliant sleeper, sleeping through from 3 months to 5 months. But since 5 months things have been gradually getting worse. She started waking but at first would resettle easily, then only with a feed but only once in the night. Now however wakes every 2-2.5 hours and will only settle with a feed. I'm exhausted. She can self settle for naps and usually for bedtime too, although the latter has been getting worse.

Does anyone have any advice on how to improve her sleep and reduce night feeds? I don't think she's actually hungry every time. Or just some encouragement if you've come through the other side of a similar phase? Feeling pretty low atm with sleep deprivation :-(

White noise is supposed to be good if you're a noisy sleeper!

Please don't withdraw feeds....its been very hot the past few weeks and is getting increasingly so, she could well be waking because she is more thirsty and needs a drink! I get its tough...my first woke every 2-3 hours a night for the first 2 years of her life, but 6 months is very young to start cutting feeds/night weaning.

Do you have a partner who could try settling her in the night first, just incase she does settle without a feed, then if she doesn't you could intervene if need be? Would she drink water or expressed milk from a bottle or beaker in the night? (totally get many don't though)
If not would you napping when she does in the day be an option?

If you can temporarily put some 'stop gap measures' in place, then maybe things might suddenly improve again soon on their own.
My now 8m old had a really similar tough sleep regression at 6mths too, up every couple of hours.I thought 'oh no here we go, good sleeper no more' but then by 7 months she was back to her normal pattern of only waking once or twice a night.

Also, what time does she go to bed? Could you keep her up abit more of the evening in the hope she might settle more through the night

Good luck xx
