Co sleeping with soft mattress?

Hello everyone! So my daughter has never been a good sleeper. I'm at the point where we start off in her own room but most the time end up back in bed with me otherwise no one is sleeping. I don't mind co sleeping, she is exclusively breastfed. But I just had a thought as I know babies are supposed to sleep on a firm mattress. But our mattress is quite soft! Is this an issue when co sleeping?

It’s believe it’s safer to co sleep on a firmer mattress so that baby a) doesn’t sink in and find it hard to lose body heat b) doesn’t sink in and have airways restricted and c) doesn’t roll into you where your body weight creates a slope down to you. So those are the factors to bear in mind when assessing how safe a mattress is.

My mattress is soft and I co-sleep with my DD. Tbh, I'd rather not but she won't settle without and I'm breastfeeding so it's easier than getting up and going to her room.
They do say a firm mattress is preferred but I am not buying another mattress when she won't be in the bed forever.

We have a soft, memory foam Tempur one and I used to worry to death about it (HV put the fear of God into me about co-sleepong generally). It was absolutely fine though. How old is your DD? The risks associated with co-sleeping drop as they get older. I always used to wonder about the balance of risk from co-sleeping, vs being crazy tired and clumsy.
