Any sleep tips for baby with a bad cold

My 10 month old little girl has the most terrible cold.. not sure if it's linked with teething too.

A desperate plea to see if any of you have any tips I can have to get her to sleep better. I know i have to ride the wave, but any tips of making her more comfortable would be helpful.

She has woken crying and coughing about 7 times already since 8pm.

Tried elevation, medication, Vicks, calpol plug. Any little tips would be appreciated xx

Will she sleep better in the buggy? You'll need to watch her, but at least she might get some sleep!

Olbas drops and leave the window open slightly for some fresh air. That always helps my little one when he has a cough. He can now have broncho stop syrup which always works for him. Hope she gets well soon and you both get some sleep.

Stand with her in shower/bathroom. Can clear mucus a bit. When my dd had colds with a bad blocked nose, I'd get her to eat as then she would try and breath through her nose and clear it a bit. Keep on top of the Calpol, baby ibuprofen - don't wait for symptoms to get worse. Then just survive and hope this is the worst night.

We do bath and hour before bed and use the vapour bath bubbles from asda. Then pillow case hanging in room but not close enough to reach and pop klearvol capsule on the pillow case and makes it breath nice. Saline drops and if needed the sucker before bed. Also there's baby vapour rub tou can get and we pop that on too.

A humidifier might help?

I used a snot sucker thing- revolting but very effective, and a humidifier with olbas oil in.

the nasal spray you can use from birth are really good, I use that then wait a few minutes then go in with the snot sucker thing, it's really effective at clearing the nose although not a nice experience
