Ds2, 2 and a half months took ages to get into a good sleep pattern which final clicked around 6 months ago, and from then we have been in blissful sleep heaven, going to sleep around 7:45 and waking between 7-7:30. Fast forward to about a week ago and he won't settle to sleep on his own at bedtime like before, when he wakes in the night he jumps out of his cot and starts screaming for me until I come to him, and he's waking around 6am!! Oh and the last few nights he's been waking multiple times and refusing to even lay down. Has anyone got any experience of this, or advice, or a shoulder to sleep on?

Not tired enough! Time to drop the nap.

The dreaded two year sleep regression! Took us three weeks to get through it and was hell!

I'm in a mum group with 80 other mums with babies the same age and almost without exception they all had terrible sleep anywhere from 20-28 months for a short period.

Lots of techniques to overcome if you Google but tricky to find the one that works for your child.

Yeah 2 year sleep regression was a killer. Spent about 2 months staying in his room with him until he fell asleep, realised it wasn't sustainable and then tried controlled crying. He's 4 now and has slept like a dream since the end of the that regression

Naps still? How long?
The heat May not have helped

i found it helpful to Google how much sleep in a 24hr period at 2- you will see if drops down

Solidarity. I've found slightly to my amazement that being very factual helps.

"No, mummy can't stay with you, it's time for sleep, night night".... and just go. I got a bit of surprised squarking the first few times, but now she's fine.

Still wakes at 5 sodding 30, though.

Thankyou for your replies!
Yeah he does still nap, around 1:00 for an hour and half, usually a bit less. Because he's not sleeping well though I'm finding it difficult to not let him nap.
Maybe I'll just have to ride it out and hope it bloody passes quickly 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Try dropping the nap for quiet time instead- either the tv on or a tablet- have a quieter day at home with less running around whilst he gets used to no nap.
