Transition to duvet

Hi all, just a bit of advice. We've transitioned our 2 and a half year old boy from grobags to a duvet. Which was hard as he's constantly sleeping through the night but he's outgrown them now.

I've always been a bit OTT on using the grobag temperature charts to ensure he was wearing the correct grobag (2.5/3.5 tog) and pyjamas/vests etc.

But I can't see any guides online what a toddler should wear to bed with a duvet. Currently we have a 4.5 tog duvet and his room is between 16-18'c at night.

What would you dress your kids in this temperature at nights using a 4.5 tog duvet?

Full length pyjamas and socks. He's now old enough that if he's hot he can kick off duvet but the room is cool and the tog is light. My 4 yo has a room temp of 20 degrees, 4 tog duvet and wears thick socks and full length pyjamas.

Thanks @thingymaboob. Do you have any tips on how to keep the duvet in place for a wiggly toddler who will kick off the duvet.

Varies from child to child! My 4yo has a 4.5 tog duvet, and wears pyjamas to bed. Frequently kicks off the duvet, as too hot, but will kick them off again if I cover him up again. Room temp 16ish C - our house is not warm...

@Tambini87 no tips but you may find it's not a problem. Slumbersac brand do footed baby sleeping bags which we used until our daughter was 3. They're safe for mobile toddlers so you could look at them. Once she grew out of her size we just thought it was time for duvet
