Sleep post illness

My 13 week old was doing great. Sleeping 730-7 with one feed around 3 (occasionally was 2 and 6).
she then got an awful cold and we obv held her all night/fed her at night as she wasn’t having enough in day/rocking patting etc. this went on for 5 nights.
now she’s better she’s waking every 2 hours and it’s killing me! She’s now feeding 3-4 times at night…and crying every wake
do babies just rem how to settle and will she sleep again like she used to?!! Or am I going to have to accept crappy sleep or do something about it?!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm no expert but can only go on what we experienced with our little one. At that age a baby sleep pattern changes a lot and the changes in sleep pattern now may have nothing to do with the short illness.

I hated the words 'sleep regression' but there's a lot written about it online. But this is temporary and the sleeping will get better.

@Tambini87 yes was thinking that too! Do they just settle post regression alone ? If this is indeed that!

It's really hard to say but even though her snotty symptoms might have alleviated and she seems better, colds in infants last around 2 weeks (apparently! I'm suffering this issue too). So she might still have a sore throat, sinus pressure etc so it might be that's why she's waking wanting more feeds. There's also a developmental leap around 13 weeks (smooth transitions) which my 13 week old is also in the midst of. That's not the same as the 4 month sleep regression which can be seen from 3-5 months.

Ours slept better but sleep did vary as he got older. I think with teething, developmental leaps, illnesses we tried not to worry if he was waking. We just had to ride it out.

But it will get better.

What @thingymaboob said too is totally right as well.
