8mo up 30 mins after night feed every night

My 8 month old has started sleeping longer stretches and this last week has been going from 7ish-4am before waking for a feed. She has a big feed then and goes back to bed. She’s then up 30 mins later crying, I go in to stroke her back, but she either just keeps going or will doze for 10 mins and then be up again. She does want to sleep as she’s crying so not happily awake. She settles herself to sleep at bedtime, has blackout blinds so light isn’t a problem, continuous white noise and her room is about 19 degrees c and she’s in a short sleeved vest, sleepsuit and 2.5tog sleeping bag. It’s obviously lovely to get a longer chunk of sleep now but most days I’m now awake from 4.30am/5am. Anyone else’s LO do this?

Yes we had this for a month or so around 6.5/7 months when she started sleeping bigger stretches again after a hideous 4 month regression! I was in and out constantly resettling her from 4/5 ish onwards. I think it might just be a phase but someone mentioned they are in very light sleep from 4am ish onwards so anything not quite right eg temp will bother them more. I tried her with a long sleeve vest under her sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag in case she was a bit cold (as 4am is the coldest point of the night as well) and it has been better since we've started that. Might be worth a go? Her room is 19 deg ish too.

Ahh thank you, that might be worth a go. She’s my second and I don’t remember my first doing this but he was generally a horrendous sleeper anyway so I think I’ve blocked the first 12 months of sleep out! 😂

As with everything I'm sure it's a phase! This one didn't last long for us though, a month max. I started going to bed earlier so I didn't feel horrendous despite the early starts. Hope it changes soon for you!
