Dice the clock change my 9 month old is still waking at the old 7am, now 6am. I know this isn't the end of the world but any thoughts of how I can bring it round?

I do his naps at the same time.. 9.30 and 2, and bedtime is 7.30pm. We get plenty of òutdoors time for the sunlight and follow the same routine as before.. but he's like clockwork in the morning!

The old 7 am is now 8 am, surely?

Mine was waking at 6 and now it's 7

This was my thought. My son is now waking up at 7 as well rather then 6. It works for me

Oh yeah 🤦‍♀️ it's not the clocks then!

As established, its not the clock change.

I'd suggest your bedtime is too early. 11h overnight sleep is the average amount at this stage, with anything from 10h-12 considered normal.

Your baby evidently needs 10.5h - which is all fine and normal. So if you're chasing a 7am wake, you need a 8.30pm ish bedtime.

You don't mention nap lengths, but if your afternoon nap wake up time is 3pm or later, you should be able to push through to 8.30pm bedtime without much difficulty.

Thankyou @FATEdestiny he naps 9.30 for 1hr 15, and at 2 for 45mins.. so 2hours in total. His nights are gradually getting worse, do you think I could do anything different to help the nights? He tends to wake and has a breastfeed at 11pm, wakes at 2 where I give a bottle, then sometimes at 5 now too he'll wake. I feel it's too much feed wise and night and wondered if offering water might help?

2 or 3 night feeds at 9 months suggests baby is not getting enough calories in waking hours to last through the night. It's entirely possible at this age for baby to have 100% of calories through the day, and none at night. That's going to need you to fit in 3 extra milk feeds during the day.

I'd have a big focus on packing baby with calories through the day. Give it a few days/week of doing this and then night wean.

Early weaning (ie 6-9 months) is when it feels like having a newborn again - you literally spend all of babys waking time, feeding them.

You can do multi-course meals which mix finger food and spoon feeding, to maximise calories. Plus find times in the day to fit in frequent milk feeds but without reducing meals. An example meal:
1st course - Whatever you are eating, as finger food
2nd course - Savoury mushy food, spoon fed
3rd course - Fruit, as finger food
4th course - yoghurt, spoon fed

With regards to sleep, I think you have too long awake between naps. That may lead to being overtired and then reduce the length of the nap, and make it harder for baby to fall asleep.

A good approximation for for 2-nap days is 234. 2h awake from morning to first nap, 3h awake between 1st and 2and nap. 4h awake from 2and nap to bedtime. If this doesn't reach through to bedtime, add in a teatime powernap. So for example:

6.30am wake
8.30 - 10am nap
1pm - 3pm nap (is what you're aiming for)
(But if awake before 2pm then add in a 4.30-5pm pushchair nap)
7pm bedtime
