Sleep gone down the pan at 8 months

Sorry in advance for the long post. My DD was not the worst sleeper but not the best. Until 8 months, she would manage 6-7 hour stretches.

Since turning 8 months this has all changed. She now wakes up every 2-3 hours hysterically crying and it's killing us. During the second half of the night she sometimes wakes up after less than an hour and she wants a feed each time.

I've tried giving her water when it's been less than 3 hours and sometimes it works but sometimes she screams for milk.

Some info:

• She NEVER finishes her feeds, only drinks 3oz. Only has 3 feeds during the daytime and never finishes, has never liked milk much. She used to down 6oz during dream feeds but now stops at 3oz.

• She likes food and does eat although recently not as much as she was before.

• She's just cut her first tooth but the teething pain has eased now, yet she still wakes up screaming constantly. She would also do this even if we gave her nurofen.

• She does not need to be rocked, she falls asleep by herself in her cot, with a dummy and white noise machine. She wears a vest, gro and 2.5 tog sleeping bag. Our flat is drafty but it's usually around 16 degrees.

• We share a room with her as we live in a 1 bed so it would be pretty hard to do any kind of cry it out, controlled crying etc if we both have work. I'm going back in May.

Pleeeease could someone offer any kind of advice? What worked for your babies? I could really use even the tiniest bit more sleep!! I used to complain before but Jheeze her old sleep pattern feels like a dream compared to this one Sad
