Shall I keep rolling her back or leave her?

Hi all! 👋🏼 first time mum here to a 7mo (8 months on 12th March)
She's literally just started to roll onto her tummy and side to sleep and my mind is just going "SIDS" "you cant leave her like that" but she can roll back and forth and I know once babies can do that it's okay to leave them. But I just have to be sure... opinions? Pic for reference ❤️

Yes, leave her if she’s rolling back and forward.

Leave her if she’s happy. DS has been sleeping like this for about 6-8 weeks and he’s the same age as your LO almost to the day. At first he would get distressed as he couldn’t roll back but now he prefers to sleep on his side or front.

You're fine to leave her as she's doing the rolling independently. It looks like she has a safe sleep space with her sleeping bag and no other blankets etc and as long as she has an approved baby mattress she'll be fine.

What a gorgeous picture jn this crazy World.

I'd leave her, if it's her natural sleeping position you'll drive yourself to distraction keep trying to turn her back.

Awww, lo is so cute 😍

My lo started sleeping like that. I left her, and soon she turned into a belly sleeper, which I knew as soon as soon as she was born!

SIDS would have massively reduced by that age. The advice refers to babies being put on their tummies by parents / caregivers and it changes as soon as the baby can roll by themselves. My DS has been a tummy sleeper (and a much better sleeper!) since he started to roll himself at 4 months old. He's 2 now and still a tummy sleeper.

Leave her to it. Once they can roll themselves it's fine and if she's anything like our daughter she'll keep rolling back on her front anyway! Scared the life out of me to start with but I've got used to it now!

Leave her.

Thatsplentyjack · 04/03/2022 13:06

Yup just leave her. Last night mine was face down on the mattress. I did move her but she sleeps on her front most of the time.

You already know the advice is to leave her... so leave her?
