Newborn has day and night mixed up

Hi all,
I know it's early days and I'm extremely hormonal and exhausted but am unsure what to do.
My boy is almost 3 weeks old, he wants to sleep all day, no matter how much noise is made and is absolutely wide awake all night.
During the day he will sleep for 3/4 hours at a time, during the night, if I'm lucky there may be a 2 hour stint, other than that he is totally wired for 3/4 hours at a time, wants to bf constantly to the point I get sore. He almost seems like he's excited and shakes his head back and forth with his mouth open over my nipple ( I've never heard of this before, so no idea if it's normal).
He is also a very greedy feeder, to the point he chokes himself and is sick almost every time after feeding which is resulting in numerous changes of clothes, which wakes him up again and then the cycle starts again, feed, burp, sick, change, this can go on and on, last night this cycle happened 4 times in a row.
We have phoned the doctor who has prescribed Gaviscon for him so hopefully this helps the sickness.
I'm beginning to resent my partner who sleeps through the entire thing!

I'd just like to know whether to persist with trying to help him establish day and night or whether I just need to accept it and sleep all day myself (easier said than done) and wait for it to hopefully happen on its own.
So far we've tried:
White noise
Heartbeat sound
TV on
Darkness at night
Light as possible in the day
Noise all day
Fresh air walks
Trying to keep him awake as much as possible in the day
Dummy
Bath before bed
Formula feed before bed

Sorry for rambling, I need advice before I go insane. Please help!

That sounds totally normal, asleep in the day, awake more at night, it changes gradually, its hard but there's not a solution to it, it does get easier, more awake time in the day, eventually longer sleeps at night between feeds. Is your let down/supply quite fast, maybe he's filling up really quickly, or gets overwhelmed a bit with the flow, rather than seeing him as greedy/hungry. They nurse for lots of reasons, comfort, security, not just hunger. Is his latch ok if you are getting sore, is he on deep enough/getting a proper mouthfuls or is he nursing too shallow, latched on at the end and bruising your nipple? No answers sorry, just things to consider. He sounds just like a 3 week old baby.

He sounds perfectly normal op try not to worry. He will get his night and day the right way round with time, in the mean time I would suggest keeping things simple to try and help him work it out, don't put too much pressure on yourself it will happen in time so go with it, sleep when you can and if there are things that are easy to fit into your day to help him then do them (like a walk or keeping it bright, or even just making sure day is downstairs and night is upstairs)

With the feeding, the excited waggle back and forth on you is normal its just him trying to find the nipple, mine still does it sometimes at 7.5 months. As pp said the sickness could be a fast let down, possibly try to feed more laying back so it doesn't shoot down his throat if you see what I mean. You can't over feed a baby directly from the breast he will take as much or as little as he needs and unfortunately it's instinctual to feed more at night for the first few weeks to couple if months as there are important hormones which regulate you supply which only happen at night (2-4am is the best time for 'putting his order in' and telling your body bow much to produce).

The main thing for the newborn weeks is try to just go with it and trust that it WILL get easier in time. Promise 🤗
