How to get him to sleep longer at night

4 month old DS goes to sleep like a poppet but wakes 3 times a night for a feed (breast feed).
Usually goes back to sleep nicely but is there any way to encourage longer stretches?

(I know this isn’t a bad situation and I’m not complaining just looking for advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation)

What time does he go down and what time does he wake up for a feed. A dream feed can work well sometimes in this situation, the only alternative is waiting till his tummy is bigger and he can hold more unfortunately.

You are his only source of food, he is waking because he is hungry/thirsty! Frequent waking is normal, especially at this young age.

It’s a hassle, but expressing and giving a bottle as a dream feed before you go to bed might help. They generally take more from a bottle so it fills them up and they sleep longer. Worked with my 2, but I was having to express anyway.
As a PP said a dream feed from the breast may also help if you do it just before you go to bed, you might get a longer stretch.

Tried dream feed last night but he still woke up every hour and a half!
Oh well.

That's completely and biologically normal, 3 wakes a night is not that bad?

He’s still tiny, it’s normal. He’s waking up because he’s hungry. You can try a dream feed but the longer stretches will just come when he can handle it.
