9 week old awake half the night

I feel like I am losing my mind. I am so, so tired.

Baby just turned 9 weeks. It's currently 4.15am and he's been awake since 11pm with only one 30 minute sleep in that time.

Some of the time he's just been awake, some of it screaming, refusing a bottle, then taking a bottle, just really unsettled.

He's not been this bad until the last couple of nights really and I am at the end of my rope already.

I feel like he has day and night totally reversed as he sleeps very well during the day. We have no real routine to speak of as we've just been led by him but I'm wondering if I need to introduce bed time as I can't cope with being up all night after looking after him the whole day.

I don't know whether he's having problems with wind at night, I burp him throughout the day. I literally don't know what it is.

Any advice massively appreciated as it is really affecting how I'm feeling.

It could be colic, reflux, silent reflux, problem with his milk?

What is it that usually settles him in the end?

Sorry to hear your frustration. It can be a really lonely time on own at night with a waking baby. I'm there at the moment with my baby.
Some ideas. Get more fresh air in the day, make sure its noisy in the house in daytime and dark and quiet at night.
Is baby getting enough activity in the day to make him tired at night? I had a bath today whilst baby in seat looking at me, although it was more of a practical thing I think he got very tired just watching for an hour!
I think around4 months is good for a routine. Before that like you say, it's just giving them what they need at whatever time. It does get better honest.
I found trapped wind a problem too, so just make sure after every feed Baby get a burp up.
As a last resort could you put baby in car and drive around block to sleep? Or in a pram/ car seat? I often find once snuggly baby sleeps in that more quickly.
I heard babies only have a 3hr awake window so when it gets really bad just remember this that they wIll sleep eventually.
You are doing a great job remember that x
