Cot Bed Duvet

Morning,

Looking for recommendations for a duvet and pillow for my DD’s cot bed, she’s 2.5.

What tog should it be and is it better to go for a wool filled duvet?

If its a cotbed the maximum recommended is 4.5tog. We've always just used synthetic filled duvets. You can buy cotbed/toddler sets with a duvet and pillow included

Can I ask where that recommendation comes from? Not doubting you but just concerned as my DD is under a 9tog as our house is flipping freezing.

What size bed is she in?
Cotbed maximum recommended is 4.5tog but if its a single bed then it goes up to 10.5tog. Something to do with the size of the child relative to the size of the bed

Does it have the sides on? DD's in a toddler bed now and we've just got a 7 tog. She's sleeping amazingly.

It's almost a single, as long as a single but a bit narrower than a single with curved ends at both ends. We inherited a Stokke mini that converts to what I think they call a junior bed if that helps. Very glad I didn't put her under the winter duvet now, I never even thought there might be a maximum recommended thickness - she's always been in sleeping bags until now.

You can get ones from Asda online and they wash well. This is important after potty training as you can get an occasional night accident for a few year especially when they are ill
