Sorry maybe a silly thing/ place to post but any suggestions for a temporary blackout blind that isn't the groblind?

I'm.thinking some sort of hard foil that can be placed against it and removed easily?

Any suggestions? Thank you!

Easy blinds blackout blinds are amazing. 2r used to have a shitty groblind but these actually work! They use velro round the edges so really do keep it tight to the edge of the window

Thank you. It needs to be very easy as will be at my parents and they are not the most logical people... the blind looks good I worry about the Velcro coming off and them not managing to put it back? Maybe I'm over thinking?

We've had the Velcro on our windows for 6 months and it hasn't shifted at at all. We use the blinds in 3 rooms on a daily basis, so it's really solid but also blends into the window frames so you don't notice it

Thank you. Sorry one more question do you take them on and off? Or leave on all the time?

I found all the stick on blinds would fall off, especially when we took them to different places.. my husband was looking for alternatives and read that you can just use normal tinfoil... GAME. CHANGER..

We just tape to the side of the windows (plastic bit) with a bit of frog tape. Job done, so easy!

Frizzyhairhelp · 17/11/2021 22:14

Thanks @ELM8 stupid question but do you just buy normal foil as that isn't very wide so do you need to take it all together?

Trying to make it super super easy for my parents!

Not a stupid question at all, yep normal foil you just need to tape it to each other if that makes sense.. so I think we have 4 strips taped to each other then taped to the window. Has stayed in place for 6 months despite us opening and shutting the window all the time..

Wish he had found this information 2 years ago so we didn't spend 18 months fucking about with the gro blind / equivalents.

Good luck, hope it works if you try it Smile
