Which Tog Sleeping bag

My 15 weeks old baby has only really started using sleeping bags in the last 3 weeks. I have been using a 1.5tog with just a sleep suit underneath my rooms stays at 20c through the night but this morning his little hands were cold should I put him in a 2.5tog with his sleepsuit or would this be too warm. I’ve seen the guidance charts but would be good to hear from those who are experienced.

Mine is in 2.5 without sleeves ATM.

What clothing are they wearing?
Oh so do I need long sleeve sleeping bags too? I only bought short sleeve ones.

Go by chest and back to check temp. Not hands. My LO hands are cold most the time, especially when we're out but I check her chest and back and she's warm.

We're in 2.5 tog with long sleeve vest at the moment. We have found it has dropped last few days

I hate this issue I find it confusing. The guides seem too cool to me. At the moment my baby wears a bit more than recommended. Our bedroom is 18-20 degrees and she is in a 2.5 tog plus a sleep suit. It's recommended she just wear a long sleeve vest instead of the sleep suit. I don't know if I'm wrong or right.

My room was 17c overnight
Dd 16 weeks was in short dket vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog bag

We mostly went to with the tog recommendation from the grobag website. Only every had 2.5 and 1 tog sleeping bags with vest under (short or long sleeved depending on temperature of room). Being slightly cold is much safer than being too hot for them also but go by chest/back temp rather than hands.
