Asking nursery to limit day time naps?

Not sure if this is a thing.

Ds (9.5 months) started to sleep through the night for a few glorious nights. It didn’t last and we are now being disturbed constantly.

I can’t think of what else to do other than to limit daytime naps but he’s at nursery full time. He slept for four and a half hours there yesterday and three and a half hours today.

I think mine was doing 2 naps a day at that age. But I guess you could ask them to limit the naps to 90minutes each. Or to ensure he doesn’t sleep past a certain time, they should follow your wishes.

It is two naps but just at the moment very long ones as his night time sleep is so poor he’s understandably tired in the day but it just seems to be a bit of a vicious circle.

Mine were very accommodating (though she only went one day a week). Mine was a 28 minute napper but by 9 months the second nap was starting to interfere with bedtime, which we needed to be rock solid as I’m a primary teacher so need to do at least three hours work per evening, so I asked them to ensure it ended no later than 2pm and they were fine with that.

I don’t know if it’s different if they’re full time at nursery so follow nursery routine rather than ours being one day a week and nursery following the routine she had at her grandparents the other four days….?
