Sudden change at night-seems like tummy

Hi all, just after some advice. My little man is 6 months tomorrow and having a few issues with his guts which seems to be affecting his sleep.

He was bf until 4 months but with another 22 month old to contend with, it was proving too hard so switched to formula at 4 months. He has been managing fine until recently when he started to wake every hour and it’s clear it’s his tummy. He rolls about griping and is up crying many times. Then every day without fail he wakes up for the day, breaks wind for 5 mins (sharp cracking ones) then has an explosive watery poop. He won’t poop any other time and it’s the same every day-up his back and ruins his clothes. He still has a bottle in the night and is drinking 30-35 ozs in a day which seems pretty normal.

He’s a happy chap during the day and eating well now although was avoiding food until about a week ago as would only take 3oz in one sitting (he does 5 ozs now). He’s a big lad (very long for his age and 18lb!) and I’m starting to wean him now but haven’t really given him a lot so can’t see it’s that alone. I’ve only given him baby porridge when I have risked a solid feed. He is teething (can see bottom two just poking skin) so is it just teething poops?

I’m really struggling with the lack of sleep as he was doing 8-6. Whilst I’m in no way expecting this, a few hours in a row would be brilliant. He has club feet so wears a brace bar and boots overnight so when he starts squirming about rolling over with his tummy, he gets stuck on his front and then gets even more upset so the cycle perpetrates X

Aww bless him, his leg brace must be beginning to bother him now that his motor skills are developing. I can only suggest a tightly tucked in sheet, this is to keep him still and avoid him rolling about so much.
